Long time no write...

Sorry it's been so long since my last post...this summer is flying by and I can't believe it's almost August!  Between working, having guests, my kids getting sick, an exciting trip to Story Land and trying to find ways to keep cool I've neglected my blog...I hope the two people who actually read this will forgive me!  Anyway in the midst of cleaning I once again found another poem written when I was in college oh so many years ago.  As I've stated before poetry is not my strong suit but I don't think this one is half bad.  It's a little melodramatic and grammatically insaine, but never the less I am going to share it.

The night, illuminated, fresh, passion filled, the definition of romance fitting any interpretations, and expectations.

Air still, time remaining, desiring to neither continue, nor return to the empty past, but to linger -
and you, there in that perfect place, drapped in primrose, prelude to certain aspirations

you with your gentle stance, intrigued brow-
my longing drew close to the possablities, the pure mystical moment - petals, fragrance filled, floating, falling as my heart, feeling the thick intensity of sweet blue air; your blessed path graced by the floral designs of the shadowed trees offspring

I dreampt a moment.  Dreampt that I belonged to your arms, dreampt that you wanted to love me with all that dwells within your soul, that you saw what was hidden within, witness to the prized attributes the world over looked- destiny would be ours to take and treasure, and I could exist, a child, a lover, our passion sealed, steadfast and strong, bodies branded by God's own will, the existance of eternity, lingering elligance of two complete souls, merging, knowing, enjoying-

But you denied my dream- heart trembling, leaving me naked, cold world, chilling exposed skin of my innocense fleeing from my loves embrace as she, she pours herself into yours, melted by your tender touch, born by your sweetened breath of promises

And I, I awaken, alone in this crowded place, watching my dream alive and well with another
